Buying a home..

I have two appointments tonight to go through a couple owner occupied homes in the Amherst/Williamsville area.

Any tips in this whole process so I don’t have either an anxiety attack or a heart attack?

have fun with it, leave your fly open, toilet paper on your shoe ect.

There could be hidden cameras, dont sniff their underwear…

This again?

go in, have fun, and remember to think about all the things on your must-have/dream/do-not-want lists.

People hide money in the walls…definitely check for that.

Check the outlet situation. I know I needz the power with all my shit I plug in, even some newer houses have like 2 outlets on opposite sides of the room. I’m assuming you’ll be looking at newer homes. So roof/furnace age shouldn’t be a problem. but like boardjnky said, maybe write down what you definitely need, and dont want.

Seriously, be prepared for a lot of owner-propaganda. Any time I went in on a owner viewing, they made it out that the house was made of platnum and they were giving it away at their price.

Just be polite, nod and ask the important questions - roof age, foundation, etc.

Placed an offer tonight. I should know tomorrow.

Amherst, here I come…again.
