Buying used motor sets

I have been doing some research on going turbo and have decided that the easiest way for me to do this is to purchase a complete motor set rather then KA-T. I know that builds are not about easiness but this is my first. Anyways I was wondering where you can go to get assistance on the purchase. For example compression tests and starts ups, checking the turbo with a vacuum test I believe it is called.

I was wondering that if I was going to have the swap done at a shop would they be able to have a mechanic come with me and see that the engine is not a paper weight. I am assuming that you would need to let them know well in advanced for this due to the inconvenience

Please do not flame I did search but am new to this I have read what I could find and decided a Sr is a good starting point into turbo.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks S-K

slipperysilvia/vhc performance. info is in the vendors section of this site. i have
never delt with him personally or even met him but i have never heard a bad thing
said about him. alot of people will tell you the same thing and you can’t buy word of
mouth. for an SR you should probably check him out.

peace

thanks for the kind words tosh----

S-K, doing a compression test in front of the customer is what most people that sell engines should offer to do if the customer has doubts.

I have sold tons of sr20’s on here, i can hook u up with something decent thats not a " paper weight" lol…
