Pulled that T-rex back from NYC a few weeks back, loved the former owner’s underground garage built into a side of a hill. If it had slightly taller ceilings it would’ve been the PERFECT garage IMO. But anyway, love the T-rex, looks great (IMO), acceleration is pretty damn good from the ride I got, even only at 50% throttle. Amherst PD certainly gave us an odd look

Hotness! Looks like a fun toy

First Off: BIG  to MPD47. Thanks to Mike for hauling this up to WNY for me on such short notice. I didn’t realize how wide it was (wider than most cars). My initial plan was to just rent a 9’x5’ Motorcycle Trailor from UHaul and bring it back. Turns out this thing is almost 8’ wide and 11.5’ long. It’s much bigger than it looks in pictures.

Purchased it as a joint venture for summer fun. May sell it come winter time.
It’s registered as a Motorcycle, yet only requires a Class D drivers license. Helmets not required.

INBYOUSHOULDHAVEGOTTENANATOM: find me a loop hole to register one in NY and i would have.

what are MPG’s on it? 40-50ish?

These things are awesome.

When you told me you had just gotten a bike, i think you were being a bit dosful.

Looks sweet going down the road, even Hank gave it a second look.

X…

Saw this driving on RT5 yesturday! Looks badass!

Did you take the pods off, you homo?

I must add…my original intent on the trip to NYC was to hang out with Howie… saw the add for this for sale and turned out the owner only lived 2 miles from him.

they’ve grown on me. They’ll likely stay on daily until/if fabricate some better suited body panels to fill their void in the winter.

I bet it gets lots of stares, and wtf looks

Very cool. Are you going to track it? Would it even be allowed?

I’m assuming no SCCA autocrossing since it’s classified as a motorcycle?

i’m glad you finally “came out of the closet” with this  looks awesome!! congrats

is it automatic?

Do you feel play get your roll on when driving it?

i thought the loophole to register an atom in NY was to bring it in SANS motor and assemble the motor/chassis yourself and register it as a home made car

That is freaking awesome

unlike yours, this actually has a clutch pedal. sequential manual gearbox, 6 speeds and reverse.

Do you feel play get your roll on when driving it?

huh?

i thought the loophole to register an atom in NY was to bring it in SANS motor and assemble the motor/chassis yourself and register it as a home made car

too much work including the registering and inspection process. I’ve grown past the working on cars thing in my life… i don’t enjoy the labor anymore.

Leave the lack of my 3rd pedal out of this. I’m sensitive… :pout:

The T-rex was featured in a bunch of rapper videos, one of which i belive was Get your roll on by the big tymers… it was an old skool joke…

What made you decide to get this over say an elise?

Oddly enough, i was watching an old Beyond tommorow show on discovery a few weeks back and they had this on there… and i was lookign at ebay motors to see how much they were going for, and found that they were holding their value pretty good…

This thing is hot, I saw it on the 90 a few weeks ago, I did the WTF look.

Couple phone calls later I found out who owned it.

oh cool nice pick up josh, its interesting to say the least

4 reasons.

1.) Because it has been featured in rap videos :poke: (for reelz?)
2.) I already have the Rover, last thing i need is everybody to think i’m sleeping with Newman and get an elise too
3.) I Like the 12K Revs, Faster, higher power/weight ratio, Open Cockpit over the elise… very formula 1 like.
4.) rarity
