Yeah, I’m glad I didn’t jump on the high mileage Z, I talked to the guy who owns this car again today, other than the shifter, corsa catback and it being lowered on stock bolts, the car is stock 2 owners and well serviced. Only thing that sucks is he still has a lien on the title. He probably still owes money on the thing would be my guess. Anyone know exactly how ill get sefcu to finance this now?

Brett gave me an idea of how the bank(s) will go about it, but I’m just curious if anyone has gone thru this before.

E and Turbo Travis when u say the gears are weak in the 01’s how so? Is there an easy fix to this in case the ones in this car start to fail? Is there a good sign I can look for when I drive it when I head down there on the 17th.

Have the two banks contact each other and let them know what is going on. I have sold a few cars with leins on the title. It just takes a little more of your day when picking up the car.

Your bank will give you the check, or they will forward it to his bank. You can both go in and the bank will give you a receipt as a lein release. You bring that receipt with you to DMV when you go to register it. MOST banks will cut you a mein release on the spot. If you have shitty bank you may have to wait a few weeks for it in the mail but being that it is winter that shouldn’t be a huge concern.

Thanks! That sounds easy enough. Shouldn’t be a problem then. Just a bit more running around. And yes who cares if it takes a couple weeks for the lein release to come, i probably wont even put plates on it until end of march or early april. Tax is gonna SUCK!!
