call me crazy but.....

I am thinking about going back to school. After a lot of thought, I am going to try to get into law school at Duquesne. 4 years and I can have a Masters and be eligible to take the bar exam. Now I just have to get ready for the LSAT and get accepted. :x:

my buddy works there as a recruiter so i might be able to get you some help

crazy

Send your wife to work and stay home with the kids. No wait, THAT’S crazy.

Roland… attorneys put in tons of hours… you’d never see the kids :frowning:

Ambulance chaser. If it’s something you’re really interested in then go for it. Turbo has a point about the kids though.

Not to mention that you run the risk of taking a job at a big firm and the top guy turning out to be Satan.

lol, then they try to get you to bang your sister, and create the anti christ.

But id say go for it. Duq is a great school, I will be attending after im done with CCAC.

you can never have enough education

Definitely not crazy. I’d go for it. I wish I could figure out what I really wanted to do and actually go to school for something and not just go to get any degree. Good luck!

Go for it!

But remember, any degree from Duquesne = lots of $$$$… 4 years ago I was going to go to Duquesne for Music Education and it was $19K a year, it’s at least $29K now.

Good luck.

That’s cool black_ws6

I’m at the University of West Mifflin (CCAC south)right now to get a degree. My boss told me I need at least an associate degree to move up anymore, so I had to go back. It sucks ass working then going to school. I never see my kids and my wife is always pissed that she always has the kids. It’s a lose lose situation right now.

My sister is at Duquesne right now and it’s about 25k a year.

:frowning: That is the major drawback. There are only 2 law schools in the area Pitt and Duquesne. Pitt only offers an 8 to 5 monday thru friday session that lasts 3 years. Duquesne has a part time program that lasts 4 years. I am still going to work since they will give me up to $5,200 per year. That’s not much, but after 4 years I will owe about $20,000 less than I would have otherwise.

Yep, working and going to school sucks. Remember we did it at CLC too, but didn’t have kids then. Just think of the long term benefits and what you can do for your family later.

I know, but it’s very hard on everyone right now. Just make sure it’s something you really want to do, cause it may get ugly for a little bit (experience talking).
