ya i guess not, lol but live and learn i guess, ill be gettign a 95 thunderbird with a 4.6 as my daily for the rest of the summer, and building the motor again in that time along with winter
I revved a stock 305 bottom end to 7200 with zwero problems.
put 100 miles on it that way at the dragstrip and won 2 burnout competitions.
the bottem end wasnt fresh, and ive been doing nothing but beating on it and racing it, its no wonder it gave out, its honestly not knocking bad at all but it still is idk if its a rod or wrist pin, but eitherway its coming back apart and gettign redone the correct way this time
I’d bet that the rod bearing are overlapped. Take some pics when u tear it down.
