I want to paint my Tank and Rear Fender of my bobber this color

Rattle can or in cans you would dump in a spray gun, like automotive paint?

Rattle

Maybe Krazy Kid can chime in, but I think you can get color matched rattle cans that match OEM finishes for touch up work.

Try an auto body supply store and see if they can do that. GM had a few orange metallics, could possibly use one of those.

66U is Brazen Orange Metallic from the '06 GTO: http://www.paintscratch.com/touch_up_paint/Pontiac/2006-Pontiac-GTO-Brazen-Orange-Metallic-Clearcoat-66U-WA347N.html

Looks like you can order that in spray cans.

Kinda want more metal flake

Take your paint sample to auto body supply of Albany and they can put it in a sprayable can. A 16oz can will be about 30 bucks tho.

House of Kolor has tons of options there, but I don’t think they sell any in spray cans.

Problem is I don’t have a paint sprayer And the rear fender is not removable

.

nick drop it off one of these days and ill spray it for you.

I can have you do the tank. But can’t do the fender untill the bike is running. Cuz I can’t move it

That color looks close to my ignition orange metallic… Which is 77u… Dave can hook you up

well I have chip books, I can mix any color you can ever think of off my color bank. Come down pick out a color and well go from there.

Sounds like a plan

place in schenectady, schenectady auto body i think. they will make u any paint in a can. its like $47

you will 100% never get that color out of a rattle can nozzle. infact that flake size wont even come out of a 2.2 primer tip! lol

Like dave said, this is one of those things you cant cheap out on or it will come out like complete poop.

That color is a metallic silver base, candy mid, sometimes a flaked carrier coat and alot of clear to burry that flake.

That is TCP’s middle sized flake and it wouldn’t come out of a primer gun with a 2.2 tip. I had to put it in my hand and carefully blow it into wet clear, and it took 5 coats of clear to burry the flakes! lol looks like a disco ball! At min, that GM GTO color for a simple base, then flake thrown into wet clear like I did above and 5+ coats of clear to cover would be the way to go. then have fun wetsanding and buffing… you burn through enough to hit a flake and that flake turns instantly a dull silver and your fucked!

The tiny green flakes behind the big ones was shot out of a primer gun in an intercoat clear. the big flakes were shot dry by hand again like the first tank.

Yes. That’s the kinda paint I want!

its not a paint, its a process! lol

Dude I love flake! The new harley black someshit color looks so sick. 90% of the light hitting it makes it look dead ass black… then 10% of the time a TON of red flake pops out of nowhere! Its not a pearl either, its a flake… its hard to explaine but you just have to see it. Stuff like that I think is awesome.

My color suggestion for your above example:

GM Atomic Orange:

with Tangelo Orange .015 flakes hand blown into clear. 4Oz would be enough becasue alot is wasted without using a flake buster gun to shoot them.
