I let someone drive my car and they bottomed out and bent the fuck out of my current fmic. Most intercoolers online have the inlet/outlet in the same position on both sides… Mine obviously doesnt, on the right side its at the top and on the left side its on the bottom… Is there a specific name for these intercoolers and does anyone know where to get a decent brand new one? I kinda wanna go bigger too as im gonna cut my bumper out and wanna fill it w/ the intercooler.
I really dont want to get a diff intercooler cuz I dont wanna have to run new piping agaain.
took my bumper off last night to see real damage, i guess its not terrible so im gonna keep it until I find a legit intercooler instead of going with a gay godspeed.
Straightened out the ic cuz it was crooked and cleaned it up while it was off and sprayed it with break caliper paint, looks alot better.
Since, I already ordered a new bumper I wanted to see what it would look like if I cut out the black trim on stock ones and lost the front plate so I experimented… Looks 100 times better, def gonna roll this way with the new bumper.

the godspeed really isnt as bad as you think, especially for the $ you pay. unless you are getting something with a Garrett, or Bell core you really are getting the same tube and fin, or low quality bar/plate core.
a small Garrett 350hp core with correct endtanks will be more efficient than what you have now.
caliper paint? they make paint for this purpose ie: radiator paint. caliper paint usually has a ceramic component…good for insulation, not so good for heat transfer…no?
