cant fix my hatchback 240sx driver's side window... wtf :(

okay so for the longest time ive had a problem… there is wind noise and water coming in (if i wash the car or there is heavy heavy heavy heavy rain.

The window gets closed all the way up however not all the way up… it like HITS the plastic thing that goes around the door and that is on the roof (whatever that black piece is called)… while at the same time the glass doesn’t go “into” the piece which it should (as that and the rubber weather stripping are the two things that seal the door when its closed or should at least).

Anyways on my passenger side and on my friend’s car it goes all the way in, the curvature of the glass is not visible it goes alll the way in… on mine on the othre hand… it doesnt… .no matter how much i pul lthe window out… i tried to fiddle with the four bolts of the assembly and the four bolts that hold the glass inside the door… i am not sure what else to do its REALLY pissing me off i need serious help fixing this… its so anoying

I wish someone in the area could help me fix it or something… I am in ontario gta area… any and all advice and experiences appreciated… i really need this fixed ive had this problem since i got the car…

not too sure, but could it be the hinge holding the door? cause when i had my car in my garage, and released the handbrake…the door hit the garage door frame thing…and stopped the car…BUT…the problem is that the car door right now, the hinge is bent a bit, thankfully not to the point that it leaks. could it be that?

hmmm? has the car been broken into?

Is it possible that someone pulled the glass back to stick their arm in to unlock the door, and at the same time bent the window tracks so they no longer line the window up?

Have you tried ‘gently’ flexing the window (in the tracks) toward the car so as to bend the tracks inward?
