The vehicle is a turboed 02 Spec V. I recently just had to replace one of my pistons as it was damaged… Yesterday we got it all buttoned up and was ready to try and fire it. It felt like a few times like it was ready to go but no dice. We pulled the spark plugs out just to check for spark since we saw fuel pressure and could smell fuel in the exhaust. Right when we start to crank it we get 1 spark then nothing after that. We did a quick look online and apparently camshaft sensors as well as timing may affect this. We changed the sensor to no avail unplugged it as well as that seemed to work for other people. We checked the alignment of all the timing marks and they’re perfect. Anyone else have this issue or know what we should check for?
I know this will sound dumb but did you plug back everything? I forgot to plug my coil pack harness back in on the first attempt.
