ok so i have a 93 s13 coupe auto with 90xxx on the motor i was driving around just now and the car started boging while on the gas i had to give it a bit of gas so it would keep going as the rpm`s droped down to around 450rpm so i had to keep the rpm around 3000 or else the rpm would drop quickly the car has always had problems starting frist thing in the morning or day i think its a gas problem as in the morning i press the gass and pump it then she fires up no more problems i have a narrow band on the car and it read off the guage as the car leaning out yesterday it was rich while on the gas and lean while off the gas spark plugs are not soaking wet iether
fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator?
ive never been able to here my fuel pump so i cna
t say with that yet but i have an extra maf that i`m going to try right now
ok so i just changed the maf with no luck i tried 3 different ones all G60 91-94 dohc but now she stalls if i don`t touch the gass pedal

not yet it started raining out and i don`t have cover so that will have to wait for now my friend is bring out another tps tommorrow any more suggestions
Don’t just change the TPS, i may still have the original throttle body .
well the tps is free and here so i think im jsut gonna try it for now and see if it helps if not then i`ll have to go from there i also usedfuel stabilizer over the winter (burnt all out already) and injector cleaner last fall
any check engine lights?
I have an extra S14 ECU if that helps. I could probably get my hands on an S13 DOHC ECU if there’s a difference.
John, just give the car to me so i can enter it into the rally my friend and i are going in. It will fix all the little problems, it may come back with a few large ones though haha
ha ha no and no there is no check engine light on and i believe a s14 and s13 ecu may be different but thanks i`m going to put on another tps and throttel body tommorrow
Check for any leaks? Also try maybe cleaning the IACV
i just played with the timing by about 5degrees retard,advance changed rpm but still dies and while i touch the gas it takes about 1/2 a second to a second to respond so i
m thinking tps where is the iacv i`ve never touched it and what am i looking for?
idle air control valve, could be dirty.
