ok i go to my friends house and i stay for a few hours and then i go to leave and my car doesnt start at all. i hear my fuel pump turn on and then when i try to turn it over all i can hear is a tick noise behind my driver side headlight… i go out a few hours later and the thing starts first try…
just wondering if anyone knows what this problem is and if its my starter or not.

low charge on the battery or starter
try boosting it.
the battery might not be throwing enough charge to the starter. this has happened to me several times.
all it needed was a jump.
i dont think that its a power issue becasue the battery and alternator are new.
if it was a power issue how would it start after its sits for another 4 hours or so.
It’s not possible that it’s the battery.
It’s your starter solenoid. You’ll need to get a new starter. Eventually it will just never work.
