So i’m renting a car to drive to detroit because it’s faster than a bus, cheaper than a flight.
I was thinking of using hertz or avis, both are in the 110 dollar range for a subcompact (at 25mpg and 3:15 a gallon, that’s a total of 142 dollars. 120 less than a flight and i can bring a friend for company)

i got one for 85 bucks including everything. Not too bad. Danno, i did reserve through hertz, and i can modify the reservation, let me know…
Talk to Steve and see if he’d drive the TDI up there. It’d only be a 500 mile round trip. His car would make it there and back for under $40
edit : add in some food im sure you could do it for like 50
How much are they charging you for the one way drop off? And, its unlimited mileage right?
