My employer used to match our 401k contribution to a certain %, and I would contribute the maximum they will match. A couple of years go they cheap’d out and stopped matching, so I lower my contribution.

First just about the whole country had defined benefit pensions

Then there was defined contribution pensions

Then there was 401k with a company percentage match

Then there was just the 401k

Now what?
