My buddy just did a cam on his ws6 and should be heading to get tuned later this week or next

all cars have the potential to go stupid fast an hook over a g on a skid pad… its just about money and anyone who enough money can do pretty much whatever the fuck they want to their car… … thats why i respect all cars forign and domestic, just not all drivers :nod. i agree there are to many haters out there on both sides.

have you ever done a Cam install? Hear its pretty easy.

Its a day project… can be done faster if goal oriented. Basicly exhaust mans, heads, water pump /accessories/intake/engine covers, etc. BUT… you now need to verify piston to valve clearance, pushrod length, spring pressure etc…thats the important part many will skip…oh, and retune.
Well i would upgrade everything…I would put in some chromoly push rods, and dual valve springs. I dont want a too aggressive cam thats barely gonna be street able, but i want a cam that has a nice idle thump to it, and can lay down a little over 400rwhp with following bolt ons (stock heads) after a dyno tune.
My hooker long tubes are on their way…should have them on by the end of next week depending on if they make it here in time.

i think a stage two cam would give you a nice idle and good net power…
Be SURE you get a aftermarket “y” pipe…unless your SS came with aftermkt catback and “y” pipe.As you know, these cars respond well to headers…and wonderful to gears… what gears ya have…3:42?
I already bought a 3" Y pipe…it will be here wensday.
As far as gears…I have 3:42’s…honestly, I would like to keep them because I get great gas mileage…As high as I would go would be 3.73’s.
My SS came with the SLP Center mount exhaust catback. The Y pipe I bought (pacesetter) is a direct bolt on to the hooker long tubes and my SLP 3" catback (did a ton of research on ls1tech to make sure they would match up before I pulled the trigger)
richie’s ws6 sounds sick, i woudnt make fun of him, hes a great guy, ad his car sounds sick with that cam, he still hasnt told me where he got the cam or what the specs are on it :headbang

As far as the cam swap went…it should take about a day if youve done it before maybe 2days if you havent. As long as your not doing springs and pushrods like he did it can be done by some one who knows what they are doing in about a day. I know our buddy who helped do his has done a ton of them and is more then willing to do it. Obviously hes gonna charge but hes extremely reasonable and multiple people on here can vouge for his workmanship. Let me know if you need any thing else.
