i’m sure the kids reaction wasn’t the most logical with a dog… you just need to act calm and if they try to bite, put your hand in it’s mouth and push down on the tounge… it’ll never be able to close it jaw
but then again, my dog won’t let you hold his tounge down very long… and the longer you hold, the more pissed he gets

i’ve got a dog too, he’s very protective of me and the family, and the cats lol. i have a smaller dog, and he doesnt like big dogs, i had him at my aunt campground and he went after a rot i thought he was going to die. but he has no problems with the smaller dogs. my dog is a mix of a golden retreiver, beagle, and a basat hound lol he’s kinda weird lookin

i’d like a german sheepard but they end up with a lot of problems in old age. I’d settle for a nice short hair cat like morris.

I have a beagle now… Shes awesome… Super affectionate, and super loyal… Taking her for a walk in the woods is always fun, especially when there are rabbits around :bigthumb:

i have a yellow lab awesome dog
same i also have a collie, and a orange tabby cat. all animals are about the same. ive seen my cat fuck up shit that was around me out in the woods. my old cat killed a snake in my yard when i was a little kid, around where i was playing. cats can be viscious. they are also loyal. cats > dogs in their own right. same as dogs > cats in some ways. love all my animals the same. but by far my favorite pet is my cat.
German Shepherds have problems with their joints and they have a real sensitive stomach so you have to watch what you feed them. My asshole dog’s stomach is so sensitive he gets this food made for German sheapards only and costs 40 bucks for a 30lb bag.
I agree with the “trendy” Ghetto dog remark and thats why those dogs get such a bad rap. Its because those idiots raise them poorly. I know normal people who own those dogs and they are like some one else said very controllable babies.
The key with any big dog is you have to show dominance. If you let the dog think he is in charge thats where the problems start.
After a year of having Bo no matter how much I bitch Bo is getting better slowly. Beisdes the occasional pissing on the wall because he is mad he is a good dog. That is even slowly going away. The only other problem with the dog is he is entirly too smart for his own good like most shepherds. Thsi dick head keeps figuring ways awound gates and shit I use to keep him out of the bar while we are gone.
Cutty you want to see a mean set of teeth come meet Bo. That fucker split a nyla bone in half last New Years that one of my buddies brough him over for our new years party. It was destroyed in 20 min. Now I don;t know if it was defective or not but those things are supposed to be indestrcutable. Plus I got a first hand experence when the fucker chomped down trying to hurry up and swallow a foil wrap before I could get it off him. I lost feeling in my 3 fingers for 20 min. I was pissed needless to say.
He also had some desire to eat concrete when I was replacing a section of driveway last year. :dunno:
Thats when I called the vet and informed jenn if he didn;t knock it off and got an Obstructed Bowel he would be getting put down for 40 buycks compared to the $1500+ for surgury. He grew out of that shit though. I think when there was no more rocks to eat

Animals are like people - some are cool, some are dicks. My sister has 2 cats. One is a total bitch and is always hiding and the other is cool as hell. Dogs can be the same way. I like cats more though since they tend to be mellower. There is one cat I know of thats really cool. I’d explain why but anyone who doesn’t beleive about re-incarnation or spirits inhabiting animals will just make stupid comments. Here is the cat:
the reason i like cats is because even thou they are house cats they still have the same predatorial instincts of big cats like lions and tigers. Tigers are my favorite animal.
