catch can help

i need to know what the best hose is to run for my catch can. i dont want this stuff to melt/catch on fire. anyone who can point me in the right direction would be totally coool

thanks

I bought the blue silicone stuff from fluidline in stoney creek last friday and plumbed mine up using that. Anything else I’ve used has either melted or cracked from the heat, but this stuff is holding up great and has not degraded at all. Only downfall is I think that the blue is ugly as sin…

lol. ugly as sin. thanks alot. i am seriously worried about fire. anyone else got ideas? or am i gunna have to get the blue stuff.

The clear hoses used in home pools and aquariums works good. You can find assorted sizes at Home Depot.

well the hose i used for this was the stuff thats clear with the vinyl laced into it or w/e, but after a while driving it felt pretty soft and made me worry, my new exhaust manifold sits up higher with the equal leinght and no matter really how i run it it gets close. and here is a picture. the catch can is not yet installed.

Man, I ran the stock one from the block to the valve cover, and the exact same hose from the valve cover to the catch can and to the intake as you have there with my Megan manifold and had no issues with it getting soft/melting, or anything… I wouldn’t necessarily use it on the side from the block to the valve cover 'cause it’s buried in with the turbo and the DP, but I didn’t have any issues on the other side…

I had the clear stuff on mine pictured above when I got my car. Didnt take long to melt it.

yeah that clear stuff is off the shelf at CT…

get braided stainless hose…

I just used coolant lines( same hose I used to go from the engine to the heater core) and have not had any trouble and its black. I used Gates hose from UAP.
