My CEL seems to be coming off and on randomly…it mostly occurs when i first start the car…then once i start driving the light just shuts off. Checked for codes and found nothing…but i think my o2 sensor is on its last legs…would that cause the light to turn on and off randomly. If i first start the car and it comes on. Sometimes i can pump the brake pedal 3 or 4 times and the light will shut off. Anyone got a clue why it would be doing so or any other ways of diagnosing what the problem is
mine did that when i filled up with shell regular. I stopped and used esso regular, light went off in one tank hasnt been on since.
I doubt that would be it…ive gotten esso 91 octane on my old motor for a year without the CEL on. theres a 711 with esso gas down the street from my house i always get gas there…have gotten gas at other places aswell and never had my CEL show up
then yeah id have to say your sensor is going.
