Cell Phone battery life question...

I guess this question could be directed toward any rechargable battery.

everybody notice’s that with time their cell phone’s charge lasts less and less time…and i’m starting to notice that now with mine (the phone is about 6 months old, the battery about a year old).

the question is this…does the product itself become less efficient over time, or does the battery itself lose the ability to hold as much of a charge? (or a combination of both?)

i’m debating just buying another battery for my phone, but if it’s gonna fly through any battery due to lost efficiency then i’m not gonna bother. it still works fine, but i’m beginning to notice a very slightly shorter life, and i know that it’s not gonna get better, only worse…

Get a new battery.

It loses it’s ability to hold charge. I swear they’re still using Ni-Cad in these phones.

Mine’s lithium.

they use lithium-ion.

i told u not to get a chocolate.

Lithium Ion Batteries only have a shelf life of about 3 years. So if you plan on keeping a phone for a long time, you’ll need to replace the battery eventually.

you can probably find a replacement battery on amazon for 10-20 bucks.

Lithium Ion batters can also explode yay
