Don’t know if many of the WNY guys have heard about this, but this is news to me. I’m definitely pumped to see this.
8 minutes too late, and this one is even in the correct forum:

Interesting to see another track being built. That being said, what a BORING looking road course.
Sums up how my week has been so far
Oh well, gen autos gets more traffic anyways.
I’m surprised it took this long for this to make it on here, this has been in the works for awhile now.
It does, but lets be real here the oval and the drag strip are the money makers. Supposedly the road course layout isn’t finalized and is supposed to feature some elevation changes.
Yeah, I just hope it isn’t Pound gas down the straight, 90 degree turn, pound gas down straight, lightbulb, pound gas down straight, 90 degree turn, repeat.
They probably won’t even consider to break ground on the twistie bits until the dirt oval has been going for a a couple years.
Back to back 90*s are fine IF they are all different radius (and/or banking), it doesn’t take much to make a corner that looks the same feel different.
But let’s save the speculation until 202X, Adirondack International Speedway broke ground in 1994 with plans of a 1.5 mile road course…
That’s not what they are claiming, as per their response on DTD
We hope to have the road course raady by August, with Phase 1 completed by this time, next year. A lot will depend on how harsh our winter is this year. We will keep everyone informed on the progress.
There will be numerous natural elevation changes and those that we build in to make it a good road course.
We will have paved parking lots, so we can do major AutoCross events. I used to do them in the parking lots at Finger Lakes Racetrack, before we added the Casino. We want to be able to provide to the fans in our area every type of racing for their enjoyment.

As for the hope that this really does happen, the guys behind it are big money guys who have involved with racing for decades now. While I can understand being a little skeptical, this track has about a million times more chance of coming to fruition than Adirondak ever had for many many reasons. More talk on the track, with responses from people in the know can be found here Central New York Raceway Park - Bob Hilbert Sportswear Dirt Racing National / Northeast - Dirt Track Digest - Race Talk for Dirties
This is cool. Will be neat to see if it actually happens.
Will follow progress
