went back and got a couple more pics from Centralia, for those who do not know what it is, its basically a town thats deserted because underground coal mines caught on fire and they are unable to be put out

Southwest of Scranton. I would imagine 4-6 hour trip depending on your speed.

YES! it was, but the inspiration stops at originally there were some spots in the town, which now deserted that rained down ashes, like snow.
That is where the basis for the game began.

wow, are buildings still “in tact” there? Does it look like an abandon town or is it basically all leveled with the cracked roads? Is it easily accessible/police guarded?

the road i took pictures of is definetly the worst, and it used to be the main road that is now blocked off
a couple crazy people still live there but for the most part you see a bunch of abandoned streets and foundations where houses used to be, its not that big of a town and if you didnt know about it you’d drive right through it without even noticing it
I have a ton of pics of that place. I also have a glass goblet from one of the abandon houses. We plan on taking another trip in spring to explore the Church.
