Changing cluster speedo from imperial to metric (MPH - KM/H)

I have a S14 that was originally a US car so the speedometer is in imperial units. Just wondering on the procedure to change it to metric/canadian cluster. I know I could buy a Canadian S14 cluster but I wish to keep my original cluster for the odometer reading, unless there is a way to change the odometer reading on a used cluster, but I don’t want to do that in case it’s illegal for some reason.

I also thought about just changing the face of the speedometer from a Canadian cluster if that is even possible because I know the US speedometer already has a secondary reading for KM/H, so I am assuming there is no need to change speed sensor or anything, then again I could be wrong.

Any input will be greatly appreciated…

Thanks!

Roy

Take out the dash Trim, I think there are 3 bolts for the cluster, remove that and unscrew it, take out the face for the speedo, an swap it with a Canadian kmh face. Pretty easy. Make sure it’s lined up properly and there are no spaces or else when the dash lights are on it will really really bother you. That’s all. No sensor change. Just different measurements on the face.

Alright thanks man, i’ll try it out!

keep it mph so people know its a state side car. and ruby red is the best s14 colour for zenki

just swap odometers, therefore you dont have to mess with pulling the needles off to get the face

Yeah best colour  looks so nice in the sun!

Do you know how I would go about doing that? If anything i’ll just look at it and see from there lol.

iirc its just 2 screws holing it in once you pop the cluster open
