wow. ok, so changing a headlight bulb, especially a low beam shouldnt be too much of an issue on a 10 year old car, right? WRONG. i pop the hood and look around. there is the highbeam, cool. thats easy to get to. where is the lowbeam? hmmm. oh wow. its really in there.
so i think to myself- self, this cant be that hard of a job, can it? i must be overlooking something. i mean its only a low beam bulb, ive replaced tons of these on my cars. i take a look, and realize i need to consult the internet. well, turns out it really is a goddamn headache.
a quick google search shows me this-
You need to remove the headlight housings. The pass side is easier and more obvious so I would do that first. You’ll need a small 10mm box/open end wrench. IIRC there are 4 10mm bolts holding the housings in. On the driver side you need to remove the whole air filter housing. And you’ll see the bolts just like the pass side. The first time is a little bit of a stinker but it’s not really too bad
WOW, SWEET! you need to remove the ENTIRE HEADLIGHT in order to change a freaking bulb. this is retarded, but not a bad deal, i can do this. too bad 2 of the bolt heads broke off when i put a wrench to them, and 1 must have broken internally, because it just sat there and kept spinning and spinning
fuck this fucking car. replacing a low beam should NOT be this difficult. even if it is the “most baller of all minivans” or-
Though the Town & Country has a lofty position as the most expensive and lavish minivan, we drove the “decontented” version, the LX, which is just about identical to the Plymouth Voyager and Dodge Grand Caravan - and will be sold alongside the 2000 Chrysler Grand Voyager. This only supports our idea that Chrysler executives are not paying attention; fortunately, the engineers are…
no, theyre not. fuck this fucking car. srsly.
