So i have a 02 WRX… i was being retarded and running and open BOV for a while… it ran rich and i threw a Check Engine light. I changed my Plugs first off earlier today. i then unplugged my ECU and waited 10 min and plugged it back in. after i went for a test drive and the car is still boggy as hell and sputtering if you go up above 5k. off the line its a dog as well. i went to advanced auto and got the codes read.
Did you gap the sparkplugs according to specs? Could just be the new sparkplugs. I would put the old plugs back in and see if the car runs better, then you know its the plugs.
What kind of plugs did you get? Sounds like they are causing the issue. I wouldn’t go Platinum or Iridium. Get a standard plug, and it won’t foul out as fast.
