Halloween No Treat For Pittsburgh Drunk Drivers

PITTSBURGH – Halloween is supposed to be fun and games.

A scary statistic could bring that to a crashing halt.

According to data compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), motorists are at greater risk of being killed in an alcohol-related crash during Halloween than New Year’s.

The PennDOT Highway Safety Team Region 6 will enforce Halloween Mobilization, a sobriety checkpoint project, from Oct. 27 to 31 in the following locations:

What they should do is shoot every idiot that is stupid enough to think that the prime time that drunk drivers will be out is between 6 and 930, when most trick or treating is.

These roadblocks to catch DUI’s won’t even go up till 11pm or so. I highly, highly doubt there will be any trick or treaters out on the roads at that time.

I am glad to see the responses on here about the drunk drivers. Hopefully that will encourage more people that read it to find a designated driver or call a cab. The less lives taken the better!
