I wasn’t saying it was going to blow up(Even though its a DSM and junk) its just odd to see a Evo with a lot of mods and low miles.
We shall see…
Not really. People with a lot of expendable cash have impulse buys like this all the time. It’s like playing Gran Turismo when you’ve already beaten almost everything- you buy a car and immediately mod it to the max, then get bored with it.
That seems to be the case. The stock parts are at his “second” house… so… IDK
I’m hoping to get a chance to drive out there, but if it sells before I can… no big deal.
Sounds like a good deal, good luck. I’d get a carfax on any used car.
^^ Why?
Always.
where is the car located at?
not to far from buffalo, in Ohio.
But I recently moved to Albany so tack on another 4 hrs on I-90 :cky:
Just do a compression test on it. If it doesn’t make a transfer case whine, grind any gears on high rpm shifts, and it has good compression, it’s good to go.
Anything else is cheap and easily fixable. Simple as that.
My car was beat to fuck, but the compression was like 180 across, and even with 82k on the clock, it still runs 11’s and traps 120+
People get worried about mods, but good mods don’t hurt cars, bad tunes hurt cars!
def. looks like a nice car and has been taken care of. get it!
AWD turbo = tons of fun.
You generally aren’t in much trouble for just a winter, but when a car really sits for a while on concrete unless you have a fucking vacuum for a garage there will be moisture in there, and the concrete traps it against your car. Getting the car off the ground helps to get air flowing underneath. Obviously a concrete floored garage is still a great option, much better than your yard, but having the car on jackstands is an even better one.
Wow. My bad. Didnt mean to offend you sir. I bow to your superior knowledge of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, and never again will post again unless I first clear it with you.
And I did read his orig post. It said nothing about it being wingless. Yess its an rs, but im pretty sure, again my inferior evo knowledge maybe coming into play here, you can buy a spoiler and add it to a car? That could happen.
And as for the brakes… again no info, or pics in the original post. Just saying what I thought you should look for in things that can possible happen to evo’s that are not really big problems. Things that may look like trouble, but are not a big deal.
Thanks for being a dick.:nohomo:
Oh please shut the fuck up. NOBODY CARES. And to think, we actually made it to page 3 without drama. :roll2:
WELLP, looks like the guy is taking a deposit on the car tonight from the guy who just looked at it. He told me he has a week then it’s back up for sale.
Guess I gotta keep on shopping.
lol… keep lookin if it doesnt work out paul
You will find one. Keep lookin, good luck!
mb with drama. Didnt mean to give bad info.
oof that 04 sti in Autotrader is secksy
I’m scoping out a low mileage type ARGH for cheap too…
Although an evo would be nice, it has to be the right one. Plus, with student loans coming in it would be smart to forgo a car payment for a few more years.
We’ll see.
+1 on that white sti. Real nice mod list and very clean
Well, the evo I wanted is a no-go, so i got to thinking… and I am going to take a look at this.
:uhh: Am I secretly a Honda Boi or wat?
2001, non hid jdm front end Type ARGH, BBS rs’, talked down to 10k… stupid clean… low miles
yes, another Honduh, but this would keep me from having to get a loan, cheaper, reliable, 35mpg highway, cheaper to maintain… etc. Plus i can pay down student loans much quicker. Seems like a smartchoice.:roll2:
