Do you guys have any lifts you want to get rid of…I know I missed out on one a few weeks ago.
I’m putting 31’s on my jeep soon and I hear they will rub on the stock lca with the weak sauce 2.5in lift.
I’m looking to either throw on some different lca’s or throw some 3"-3.5" lift up front.
Any suggestions?

I think a set of WJ lca will work too, has anyone heard of this?
I think you are going to have a problem rubbing on the body before the lca. Theres guys that run 31s with no lift just a good amount of trimming.
What does your lift consist of now??
I have 2.5 inch spacers up front with 3inch shackles out back, that is all…
I have 30x9.5’s and they seem to fit no problem.
Well you can try some V8 grand cherokee front springs they usually get you about 3-3.5" of lift and u could ditch those shackles for a s10 bastard pack. Ive seen guys run some pretty big tires on stock wheels with out rubbing the lca i mean at full lock maybe some but nothing crazy. Are you using it mostly for on road or some on and off road.

Its mostly for street with minor off roading.
Can I put the coils in alone? Do I need to drop the transfercase at all?
Do I need to change control arms?
Whats a S10 bastard pack? Is it just adding a leaf or 2 ?
To be honest if its mostly on road and some off just run the 31s and leave everything else alone if u need to trim do it remember these tires are only ganna be 1/2" bigger so not a big deal.
But yea the zj coils will go right in and the bastard pack is like an add a leaf but using a s10 spring to get even more lift
I will plan on getting some zj’s then…and i’ll try to get a set of leaf springs for the xj along with a set of s-10 leafs and put them together and swap over them all at once.
Any one have stock xj rear leafs sitting around?
Welp update:
I’m buying a set of 3.5 inch front and 3.5 rear springs off SPDboy.
What else should I buy to support these mods? Will the drive shafts be ok?

front with be fine rear may need tc drop or sye depending on how it is after the lift and i would strongly advise an adjustable track bar.
Um, New shocks, you may want lower control arms…If your pre 97 a t-case drop will get rid of any vibs, 97+ you can use a older front drive shaft to use as your SYE drive shaft…
that SYE seems like a PITA, I don’t think I want to get that involved with it…I have a 99 and I’m hoping a 1inch t-case drop will serfice.

o yea i forgot about shocks you might be better off just buying a complete kit that way you know you will have every thing and not have to go searching for parts half way threw. Id say go on the RE site and look at there parts list from there 3.5 kit and check off your parts from that.
Yah after some thought, I decided to wait a little on the lift. I was going to buy the spring and piece it together over time, but that seems like a waste of money. The entire kit with shocks runs about $500 bones, while if I pieced it together it would run me say $650+.
I just dropped some cash into my summer car, so I might be waiting until summer to just get a full kit. That will also allow me some time to install it, and I can drive my car. So as it sits with the weak sauce 2.5 inch lift thats how she is going to stay for this winter.

thanks man i threw on a quick paint job of this green/bronze/some color paint I had sitting around on those rims I pick up from you and had my new 31’s mounted on them…I think it looks good, hopefully this summer she will get a 4.5 RE lift or something…
The 31’s actually don’t rub at all except at full lock a little…I took it mudding a little and they only rubbed when the suspension was flexed out pretty good or at certain turning and maxing points…
