Chevy copying from Ford on the new Camaro?

Look in the back ground, why would a new Mustang be in there? http://www.stangsunleashed.com/2005/media/naias06.camaro.wmv

It’s pretty common practice. Ford bought some F360s when they made the GT. Of course I wish GM would aim a helluva lot higher than ‘just’ being better than a POS '05 GT. :frowning:

You would think they beat that Camaro with an ugly stick, the first prototype photos looked great but the one in the vid is ugly.

scrap yard maybe

I heard ford is using GM Gen III motor in there new stangs due to the fact they want people to think they can build a motor without a power adder on it to make it go fast.

the vid should have been longer

I doubt GM is copying from the Mustang. The Mustang and the Camaro are competitors on sales floor and have been since 1967.

They probably use the Mustang as a tool on what NOT to do. They buy it have people test it and then ask them what they would do to improve it and then put those features in the Camaro. Not copy from it.

They don’t need to copy, their 4 valve supercharged motors do just fine. The take the supercharger off arguement doesn’t fly, Ill be waiting for ya at the end of the track. :spank:

they are copying the idea of remakin a previous gen into a modern version, in a way. the retro thing is kinda played out and some of the cars havent even hit the showrom floor yet (camaro, challenger). regardless the 5th gen camaro is awesome.

tell me that there new motor is not copied of the GM gen III style motor. I mean froma distance u cant tell the difference. As for the supercharger arguement show me a motor ford produces in there new vehicles that heas power without a power adder. :tounge:

Chevy cant really be copying ford bringin back the 1st gen cars, cause if im not mistaken there was the new Pontiac GTO and wasnt the charger before the mustang, im not sure.
