No one told you to spend that much lol.
Close to $2K, maybe more.
nothing like ringing in the holidays and new year with thousands of dollars in material items
I have spent 575 for a new Pink Dell Laptop for the wife. I still want to get her a few more items. The kid is all done.
If any of the big spenders don’t feel as if they have spent enough, I will be accepting a wide variety of gifts for the charity of myself. If you need an address to drop them off, please pm me. You can also make paypal payments to mgleeson @t rexelusa d0t commercial
Thank you in advance for your generosity in giving to the less needy this holiday season.
I spent whatever my wife spent plus a little something I got her.:picard:
What’s wrong with material items? I’m not sure I’ve ever received a gift on Christmas that wasn’t a material item since I can remember lol.
I spent… maybe $200 total… we’ve pretty much canceled Christmas at my house due to the Wedding being only 2 weeks after; so all our $$ is going towards that.
We bought a couple things for my Mom/Dad, the Dogs, and stocking-stuffers only for ourselves.

It is COMPLETELY different when you are a little kid and santa brings you “toys”. Even as you get older, it is tradition that parents get their kids some toys. So I do not blame parents for spending lots on their kids, I would too.

It is not unreasonable to get people gifts. However, the point of buying gifts is not to shower someone in your money. It is to say, “hey, I thought of you”.
But come on now, if you spend more than $1500 dollars on gifts for immediate family(and don’t have children), then you are basically just rubbing into people’s faces that you have more money than them.
“Hey look at me! I am filthy rich and/or love credit card debt, I spent $10k on gifts”
I guess I just somehow think that people who spend tons of money buying gifts are just missing the whole point of christmas and the holiday season.
if you hate christmas because you spend too much money, then you are doing it wrong…
Unless they see the whole point of Christmas as to get something nice for someone who deserves it, and because they have a level of income allowing them to do so can do it.
Now if they just went out and bought lots and lots of gifts on credit to show off then yeah that defeats the entire purpose lol.
I’m shopping for the misses and my father. I’m sure I’ll crack into the 500$ club. I spy a gas grill for my dad, we get together and grill 4 times a week year round. His grills are all shot.
I spent a shit ton of money this year. Maybe because i finally have a decent paying job, compared to last year not having a job.
Small family>*
Pretty Much all I have to buy for is my mom & dad, maybe like $200-$300.
