Chroming locally?

http://jeff.jonrosensystems.com/chrome%2017s.jpgI
I was looking at Ebay for random items for my car, and came across this:

It is my stock 17"s but in Chrome! Now, I love the look of these wheels on my car, and always imagined them being chrome. It looks as though this is possible!

Anyone know of a local place that chromes, or pricing of chroming items? Estimate or guesses as to cost?

Thanks

Who is this? Location?

I have a place that does work down in Erie PA; he’s nationally known for Chrome work and has done work for some national award winning cars. Advanced Custom Chrome in Erie PA.

chroming is an industry that has been dying out. it used to me that chrome shops were almost as common as machine shops, but due to the chemicals left over afterwards it has become pretty regulated, its not financialy possible to run a “small chrome shop” anymore

as long as you have to ship them out, find outthe best place to send them and go there. great chrome on wheels is like upgrading t5o stainless steel exhaust … yea its more expensive, but you also wont wind up hating that all your $ is rusting away either

there is a place in lockport that did good work for me…i belive it was rms plating

Theres a place in the falls call niagara plating

http://www.niagaracustomplating.com

and another

MRS Chrome Platers (lockport NY)
716 691-4005

Chroming is very expensive due to the chemicals involved in the process, your probably better off buying a set of chromed wheels then having yours chromed.

I would bet they would charge you about 100/wheel

Bump.

anyone else?

I want to chrome my elise exhaust.

Niagara plating is the only place to go, if its still open.
