yes he lost to a guy who is now in the UFC, i forgot his name but when he fought kimbo he was just a amatuer but right after he beat him he became more popular and made it into the UFC. Im not saying the guys not tough, hes fuckin jacked, hes losing weight and hes getting fast but hes taking all this credability when he hasnt fought anyone thats anywhere near his speed or strength. I mean cmon, fuckin tank abbott, hes fast and slow.
He submitted Ray Mercer who celebrated his 47th birthday (46 at the time of the fight) and was a pro boxer and fought only one MMA fight, kimbo slice.
So if you think taping an old boxer with little to no MMA skills is proof of ground skills, you need to brush up on some MMA knowledge.

I like kimbo. but hes just a giant, overweight person who fights for money. He prolly has potential but he doesnt use it, hes to busy running security for the porn company he works for.
giant overwieght? have you seen him lately? he toned up alot, he is a beast. He’s using his potential, training hard, developing. I think when he shows he can play the ground game he will get into some bigger named fights. Time will tell.

i just watched tito, ken shamrock and dana white and some other UFC doods talking about kimbo being in the UFC and they were all saying he needs to learn a shit ton more about the ground game before he can prove himself as a fighter…i honestly think that if kimbo were to fight any heavyweight…arlovski, couture, ortiz, hell even silvia…i think if they went blow for blow kimbo COULD come out on top, buuuuut…the fights tend to go to the ground and welp…he’d be fucked…def has some potential…hes training with bas rutten i guess…should be interesting to see where he goes in the UFC
