Civic or Jetta?

Neither, get a Corolla. I’m a bit biased but I just wasn’t crazy with the reliability my Integra and Civic gave me over their years of ownership. Toyota on the other hand has been solid for me. But regardless I’m pretty sure you get the point, don’t get a Jetta.

I love my civic as a slow daily. It’s a 05 and bought it in 07. Only maintance in 117k miles are brakes, oil, 1 alt. 1 battery. 1 wheel bearing. And the catilitic converter was replaced under warranty. Also did the normal 100k TB/WP. Never broke down. Never left me stranded. And cheap to fix.

Sounds like Civic has just about everyone’s vote, and one for Neon. It’s bad when neon gets a vote over a jetta. Thank you Nyspeed

jetta for comfort and performance
civic for reliability and quality at that price point.

Or when a Euro shop owner recommends the Civic

 very true.

As far as the neon goes just take a dohc 5spd for a ride before you hate lol, they run high 14’s with bolt-ons, weigh 2300 lbs, actually have an independent rear suspension and rear disk brakes. they didnt have NEON racing circuit because they sucked

although you would have a biased view. as no one drops by to tell you there car is running Great. you only see the worse of every euro car.

But in this case no one can argue buying a car with less options at this price point is the better decision.

I’ll throw in a vote for civic. I drive a del sol in the summer and a pilot for winter. (Yes, I know I fucked up by having my winter car cost way more than my summer car. No need to rub it in.)

My del sol has like 164k miles on it and I didn’t hesitate to drive it to cleveland and back twice and pittsburgh and back within the past 4 months. I took it in for routine maintenance and it was given a clean bill of health after a few fixes and the mechanic expressed interest in buying it.

I’m regretting my Golf and looking to GO BACK into driving Hondas’ again.

Get something with a rotary.
