Civic Radio Question....Please Help

I was driving in my 99 civic ex and listening to a cd and all of a sudden the music faded out and then faded back in…the display doesn’t dim or anything…it stays the same

The am/fm radio works perfectly fine…doesn’t fade at all

CD is not skipping…checked other cd’s and everything so its not the cd

Doesn’t fade in and out when i hit bumps or hit any buttons or anything…i can just be sitting in my driveway and it’ll do it

are either the radio or speakers aftermarket or is everything factory

this happened to a buddy of mine in his car he figured out it was just the headunits own default and had to buy an aftermarket one.

sounds like the radios junk. Ive seen a lot of bad stock decks in that gen civic.

get a new radio, you can find them cheap
