its an 04 jetta and stock radio/cd player doesnt work one morning. the radio is lit up, it reads the last station i was on but can not change the presets to anything else. nothing comes out of the speakers but when i turn the volume down fast i hear it give the “minimize” chime. I pop a cd in and it does not play the sound but seconds go by on the counter. wouldnt the whole thing be out rather than just the radio? Im confused because the presets do not change when the buttons are pushed like its frozen on “the edge” (wig out tunes) with no sound but the cd player apperently is playing the cd so is it the speakers or whole unit? suggestions dudes?
Sounds like the radios internal amp shit the bed. There may also be a fuse on the back of that radio that you can check.
