i think my MAFS is dirty (dont ask) and i wanted to know how or what i could use to clean it?
Electrical Contact cleaner.

i think some oil from my filter is on it… would this contact cleaner take that off?
Yes, just spray it liberally and let it dry.
It’s a common problem, hopefully the oil has not damaged the wire.
The “best” way to do it is take the MAF out of the car, lay it so theopening is up and spray DOWN
that way the oil etc should be sprayed off the wire, otherwise it might just flow down and pool at the bottom and still fubar it 
Carb cleaner does the trick.
I think i have the same problem. If I go to canadian tire, what do i look for? Is it specifically called CARB CLEANER?
