clunking noise in rear suspension

hey guys i get a frequent clunking noise in the rear when going over harsh bumps. I have mr coilovers. Any ideas? It’s really annoying and something doesnt feel right. Thanks.

are the rears pillow ball mount??

Make sure you tighten the top nut that holds the whole shock assembly together.

I’m assuming you had no clunking prior to putting the suspension on?
If so, is your spring preloaded?

there is nothing to be clanking really… check your exhaust maybe it’s hitting something

hmm, the springs are not preloaded… I checked the top nut and it’s very tight but I’ll check it again this weekend. the rear are pillowball mount… and prior to the installation i had no clunk. perhaps the exhaust is hitting something but the clunk sounds very hollow almost like metal bouncing.

someone was telling me it could be subframe bushings?

thanks for the help

i checked again, my exhaust is hitting my bumper because one of the hangars had rusted off… doh.
