I have noticed that since day one of owning my car that when I am driving around and hit things like manholes or bigger then normal bumps in the road I hear a clunk from the suspension. Is this somthing like worn strut mounts? I have had my suspension checked at Nissan after I first bought my car (I just wanted to be sure because I knew the dealership would want you to replace anything that is worn lol) and they said my shocks and struts were fine, I had a lower control arm ball joint that had some play in it but I replaced that. I asume other guys have had this issue so if you know leave me some info.
if your getting a loud clunk then i would guess your strut mounts are bad. It could be the ball joints or tie rods ends but they usually wont give a loud clunk like you described. I was getting a loud clunk from my suspension when i was turning and hitting bumps and it ended being the strut mounts.
i get that too on my s13
