So when im driving the GTP, if i turn right, theres a huge CLUNK coming from the front drivers side. But, i can turn right all i want after that, then it wont clunk, till i turn left, then it will clunk real loud, again, it wont do it till i turn right. It sounds like a suspension noise, and ive taken a good look at everything and cant spot anything awry. I know my lower engine mounts arent that great, but theyre not shot, not collapsed.
My maxima made the same sound when the spring came unseated in the coilovers, so I think it is a suspension related issue. Can anyone suggest what it may be? Like I said i cant see too see anything out of the ordinary; i had it on a lift and took the wheels off, and the balljoints, tierods etc look cool, and theres no play in the wheel when its off the ground…
The wheel is knocking the spring, esepecially if its more of a thunk and a twang with some vibrations, every GM full size car has it that i have driven. My mechanic said not to worry about it
Edit: Open your hood, look at the strut, is the nut centered? Also have someone turn the wheel while your under there. Mine makes the same noise, really annoying but I’m to lazy to change them.
