clutch and tranny

i am preparing to do a conversion, just wanted to know if the clutch and tranny are the same from a sohc to a dohc, if i can use a dohc clutch in a sohc tranny??? are the trannys the same ???

bump …still waiting for a confirmation on clutch kits and transmissions, if they are interchangable or the same on both models of engines???
