Coal

Got one 55 gal drum full of it, and about another drum and a half worth laying on my shed floor.
Was leftover from the previous owner (they said that the people they bought it from left it when they bought the house, so they weren’t going to remove it)

I shoveled up one drum full, but then found different uses for my remaining 55gal drums.
So, probably 100-150gallons worth of coal (I know that’s not a measurement of coal, but stfu)
there’s little scraps of wood and shit mixed in with it, but that’s not my problem.
if there’s 7 cubic feet in a 55 gal drum, coal pieces weighs somewhere around 50lbs, that’s 350lbs… so maybe half a ton of coal.
Yes? Coal sells for 200-350/ton depending on type… so, come make it go away.
I also do not know what type of coal it is, I do however, know I want it gone :]

I’m not going to try fudging with it in a wood stove, so… Whoever wants it can have it.
Otherwise it’s going on craigs.

Could have mad a fortune selling this to Santa around Christmas time.

beat me to it, was gonna say “great stocking stuffer!”

You could always hold out on it until this upcoming X-Mas and make mad cash selling rocks of coal for $5 each! Just put them into a zip lock bag or something and sell them to people looking for a funny joke…

i think you’re math is a bit off somewhere. But it’s free, so i won’t criticize.

One of the best lines I’ve seen in a classified in a while.

Throw this on CL and I’m sure it will go. That’s if you’re cool with the kind of weirdo that prowls CL looking for free coal coming to your house.

lol, i did put up the technical part however, like 7.3cu/ft per 55 gallons, 2-3 drums worth, 40-60lbs per cu/ft for lose coal pieces, etc…

I’ll take it, if you can help me lift it in my truck lol

can i ask what ever the hell you would do with this unless you are moonlighting as Santa or looking for some Derek Zoolander makeup?

I can burn what ever in my furnace. Wood / coal / corn / pellets

There’s no way we could lift that up on the bed of a truck, lol… sorry :stuck_out_tongue:
possibly if your bed is maybe 2 inches off the ground.

This is a job for a shovel and… maybe some asprin later. :]
I’ll help shovel however! Provided the weather is slightly higher than 10 degrees… I have to work in this weather all day long, so I don’t want to be in it any longer than I have to ;]

ramp and a dolley.

I might have a few empty drums around, I’ll have to go look around in the barn.
shoot me a text, I’ll figure something out lol

It took two people just to push the dolley, so I kinda doubt we could push/pull a dolley up on to a bed without a winch… unless the bed is 2 inches off the ground.

Take your time :] I’ll grab some pictures of the remaining pile and the drum I’ve got.
if you want to bring boxes (if they can hold up), 5 gallon pals, whatever… I don’t give a hoot.
Not in a mad rush to get rid of it, just trying to clean up what I can before I finish gutting my house in the spring.

If TSI falls through PM me please…my girfriends grandparents use coal

How a really long piece of wood and make a long inclined plane?

You need stronger friends. I got those barrels of oil into my house with my 160lb brother… with no ramp.

I don’t drive an s10 I still have my lifted f-350 lol I found one of them i know there is more someplace

Hey TSI, you still want this crap?
Can come get it anytime you’d like

yeah ill take it, I just need to find something to put it in lol
