Yes

Can you elaborate on what your needs/goals are for the tire? Straight line, turns, tread life, etc.

Well I eas thinning about getting the bf goodrich kdw.

More or less n all around tire. Tread life dnt matter

What kind of racing are you into most? I have been rolling around on drag radials for years and love it. There are also some very sticky street tires out now that the auto-x guys know more about then me. All I know is once you start making good power and you lay into the gas and it just blazes them it gets really fucking annoying.

Why not just get a dp with a high flow cat, and not break the law?

Do it right the first time, or don’t do it at all.

srsly, Hi-flow cats are barely a restriction nowadays. :fyi:

FGGTS!

Yeah, that 5 whp is worth the hassle of trying to get an illegal inspection

Glad you see my point. Besides you just change the readiness with hp tuners.

1.)doesn’t make it anymore legal.
2.)Doesn’t change the requirement for a visual inspection of emissions systems. Yes I’m well aware the majority of techs don’t check, but that doesn’t really matter does it? I’ll bet you a bottle of bourbon that he is never going to miss the 150 rpm of lag or the 3whp he might lose to a hi flow cat.

Yes I for one know I abide all laws at all times. Breaking this law in particular will make me and anyone else not sleep at night. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Are you guys serious? Kudos to be such upstanding citizens.

:picard: You know thats not the point. The point is that SINCE HE’S GONNA DO AN EXHAUST ANYWAYS, HE MINUS WHALE DO IT RIGHT. I’m not telling him to go get his straight pipes removed to put a cat IN. jesus. go back to bed.

Bed? I get up at 5am every day brah. Anyhow the choice should be his. I can say as long as I can change readiness I will never run cats on a project car that I am going to race in any way shape or form. But thats just me. I break enough laws to not feel bad about it LOL.

But I do have to go back to work. :frowning:

well, to play devil’s advocate to the grown-ups, he could just swap in a catalytic converter for inspections. What is it, 4 bolts, once a year?

Or what i could do is get an electronic cut. so when i do race i can hit a switch and have a just a open down pipe. then everybody will be happy! lol

I like having no cats, I hate cats, I’m much more of a dog person.

Cut out for the win.

my car ran 12.3 @ 115 btw. Thats Chokos cobalt being a car behind.

apparently you have never tried to remove a race pipe, or cat from a daily driven buffalo car. lol

last time I did it, it was 2 hours and then I pulled out the sawzall
