I got no complaints. Both my cobalts have served there purpose. Low maint and good gas mileage. In 65k the 05cobalt needed a wheel bearing and a blend door seal(both warrantys) the 08 so far has needed control aRm bushings(which have tsb). Anyone looking for a cheap dd,I highly suggest one of these.You really have no valid reason to hate on a basic car that serves basic purposes.

idk, didn’t take much money to make this car a little quicker. I probably would have been happier had I had it professionally tuned. Good thing I sold most of the junk i had.

Jays cobalt moved pretty good.he also did not pay much for it. I am sure he didn’t pay much for the mods as jay is cost effective.he has never proclaimed his car is cool, never said it was fast,and never said it was the best car ever. He just bought a dd and improved it his way.let’s not forget at one time you plan to mod a 10 plus old base model stealth. I apoligize for the lack of caps I am pooping and typing with my iPod

I love my SS… the car dynoed 314whp 304wtq and gets 32mpg weekly. I drive the car about 200 miles a week. I’ve driven the new SS/TC and like some of the new features but the car felt slow to me… once the aftermarket catches on a bit more I’ll be interested to see what the results are.
As far as the original post here the only 08’s that are unlockable right now are the 2.0’s so he is likely out of luck as far as HPTuners goes right now. I have seen people use the AEM FIC unit on the 2.2 engines with relatively good results.
Agreed, I’ve learned my lessons, and although Im and asshole about it, it just kills me to see people make the same mistakes Ive made, most of my opinions come from my own fuck up And I get he doesn’t gloat about his car, but really wouldn’t it have just been more sensible to save the money on the SS and get something nice later ?
Yes, it would have been smarter and i look back and wish i hadn’t bought this car. Especially since i had only 2500 left to pay off my 04 cavalier. But I sold it to my brother and just jumped on this. My father works for AAM so I also got a decent discount.
All the performance parts i bought for this car i have pretty much sold off. Really didn’t lose much on them either. Actually I may have turned a profit on all the parts and still have more shit in my basement.
The car moved pretty good I thought, even in stock form. Ask Scott. I’m pretty sure it surprised him.
