I raced a Stealth R/T with boost turned up and raped him pretty good

a vr-4/stealth with stock turbos, and the boost turned up isnt shit… if you would see the size of the puny stock turbos you would understand why. Pretty much those tiny snails are spinning for all their worth to create extremely uneffiecient power. Although with supporting mods, (exhaust, downpipes, clutch, mandrel IC pipes) there are 3k’s and stealths in the low 12’s.

How do you figure they perform poorly? They were all more than competative with the Cobra Mustang of their time. Remember these cars all died out before the post-Fast and Furious horsepower boom. 300ZX’s are easy to make power with. They just have a suspension that blows for drag racing. Supras can be made to go fast for cheap as well. Mark didnt have much into his Supra when he busted that mid 11. RX-7’s are also easy to make power with, they’re just hard to keep together for more than 60K miles and the pussy ass stock cooling system doesnt work all that well and heat = death to a rotary.

I was at qcr on friday for street wars so it was not friday. There was not a stealth or vr4 there either, their was only one import in the quik 8 it was a red mid 80 conquest I think with brusher (sp) racing stickers on it qualified number 3 at 10.75 @ 130+ that thing was flying. I missed the field was an alternate bump was 11.50 something going again on friday if anybody is up for it. Blue come on up. You have to run dots, exhaust, and be registered with plates.
