Coefficient of drag: Car VS Bike.

Simple highway comparison with video to compare how drag effects bikes VS cars at speeds.

Most likely with car video footage from a 3rd party.

One test at ~65mpg, other at ~100.

No throttle just drag slowing down.

It’s not just about drag. It’s also inertia from the vehicles, friction from the tires on the road, etc… Too many variables to make a proper article that someone won’t thrash.

Thrashing creates traffic, public loves scandal, just look at the spritzer scandal.

If you make an exact scientific comparison down to a science with the spreadsheets, it may be exactly correct but if nobody will even click on it, who cares.

We don’t have to be and won’t be right every time, it’s as simple as that, we will just try to get a point across. Look at any mythbusters episode, they try their best to do things down to a science but they get flamed by “experts” online who say they did it wrong every time. Do I care as a viewer? No, it’s very entertaining for me.

Same deal goes with TopGear. Every test they do, every race they do, everything they do is not “down to a science” exact, and any race could have a different outcome if they did it once more, but does that matter at the end? People still watch it and enjoy it.

The general point of this would be to just show exactly why bikes are at a huge disadvantage at higher speeds, because of drag, inertia, and everything else you just listed.
