Cold air intake install

I got a bomz racing kit for my s14 (ka24de) and i am gettin gpissed off. The kit didnt come with proper hosing (from what i see) because in order to connect the vacuum to the intake u must bend the hose 90 freaking degrees, so that the air is almost completely restricted from flowing. Now, when i started the car up, first it died…then i gave it gas, and it would adle over 1000rpm. I took it for a spin and the car would just die on me. So basically I am fucking annoyed with this crap, which i still paid decent money, and dont know how to fix the hose. (tried cutting it, all that) thanks for the help

bomz = garbage

Give us a little more info. Could be a vacum leak, maf problem…

I bought a BOMz for my S13 and noticed that it was missing
two vacuum lines. It only had input on the tube for two
lines whereas the stock intake has 3 (one was too small to fit anything on.

And after I left two of thoe hoses disconnected, I would be driving and
under hard braking, I would loose enough vacuum to cause the motor
to stall. Very bad when you brake in panic and your engine shuts off (i.e.
no steering). Either drill holes for the vacuum lines on the intake or returnit.

Here’s the thread I posted about it:

see the thing is i put the stock intake back on, with the hks filter that came with the bomz cold air intake, and now it idles a little higher then before and its making me nervous cuz sometime the rpms drop to 500, and at this point not very far from stalling. Before i put the intake in the motor ran perfectly fine, no probs with idling and all that so the MAF is obviously fine…im almost sure its a vacuum problem because when i took the one hose off the car just died anyways. What im saying is that their is a vacuum leak or the air into the motor is being restricted because the HOSE attached to the intake is pinched…

oh and another thing (slipperysilvia) got it for me off ebay so i dunno how to replace or demand new parts.

not off ebay… i made it in my garage with some home depot parts, then took a shit on the filter- thats why its brown.
The intake pipe is a piece of plumbing that i stole from the neighbours sewage system…thats why there is no warranty…thanks guys.
if anyone wants an intake like this call me…48 hours and itll be ready…

haha u assmuncher

Dont worry bout it guys, i found a piece of rubber tubing required to fix the vacuum and the car is running mint. It runs so much smoother and the motor feels a lot more powerful. thanks

are u sure that YOU found the rubbing hosing?

hehehe u sure? my exhaust is adjustable and i have it on the quietest setting. If i make it the loudest i doubt this means it will go faster

sigh will people ever learn? you get what you pay for.
