Ew gross you guys.
The Demo / Beta sucked until they put out Caspian Border. Can’t judge based on that.
But hey, if you love playing FPS games where vehicles are only props and there is zero teamwork or team strategy, then that’s cool.

So I have to wait until 3am.
Fucking fggt west coast.
Could be worse. I could have to stand in line behind 10-year-olds at the game store if I was a counsel player.
Shits been downloaded for 2 days now…w/e bitches
Thank you for ordering from Origin Store. The product that you pre-ordered is now available.
Log into the Origin (Origin) application to download and install your game. If you have already pre-loaded and installed your game, it is now ready to play.
Time to find out…
Downloading mine right now.
So I’ve installed, updated drivers and what not, but I keep getting a pop up saying “battlefield 3 has stopped working”. It happens after about 10 mins of play. My computer shouldn’t be the issue, I have a brand new Nvidia 570 card, 6 GB of RAM and plenty of hard drive space.
Anyone else? Josh?
I’ll test tonight. The beta kept complaining about my video card drivers. It stated I needed to update to some driver version even though my card couldn’t be updated to that version (completely different number set) and I had the latest drivers. I have a GTX 285, if that card isn’t supported then Fuck BF3.
Hahahhahahahhahah.
Lets see. Go to store, buy game, put in xbox, play…
Or invest a ton of money into a PC and run into issues.
You can run into problems with any application. Most times the issue stems from user error (something running that shouldn’t or something misconfigured). With all the issues that may persist, I’ll still take a PC over console. I can upgrade my PC even more and have a bigger advantage over those with lesser systems. I also don’t need an online subscription to play multiplayer. Usually (at least with BF2) the console verison is scaled down, I’m not sure that’s still the case. Also better graphics quality on PC, http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=434309.
What operating system do you have?
Windows 7, 32bit.
So you only have <4GB of ram…
As ^^^ said. Your hardware addressing limits you to 4GB of RAM on a non 64bit system. If you have Windows 7 starter, you are even less than 4GB and limited to 2 I think. Upgrade your OS to 64bit if you want to use your 6GB.
I know Windows Server 32 bit allows you to install the PAE module to allow more RAM but not sure if it works on Windows 7 or will be good for gaming as your drivers will still run in a 32bit space.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate, but regardless I should not have any crashing issues.
this damn game has been installing for over an hour now WTF
If you aren’t running a 64 bit OS then you might as well sell your extra 2GB on Ebay because its useless.
32bit is 32bit and only supports 4GB (Approx) of ram. So you’re losing out on your other 2GB of ram that are just taking up space. Check the event logs and see if there is an issue reported. Try disable desktop composition.
Does BF3 launch it’s own application window or does it run in Origin/The browser window like the beta did?
Origin/browser

Went on the BF boards, it’s a known issue with the release and DICE is working on fixing it. No big deal.
