Computer help.

I want to output video from my laptop to my TV.

the video out is a VGA plug.
my TV will take RCA, composite, S-Video, or optical.

what’s the cheapest, easiest solution?

(i already have a 1/8" to RCA for the audio)

I think you might be able to find some kind of VGA crossover cable to like an RCA or S-Video, try google and see. The only other way is to have a video card with an S-Video output, and even then the clarity isn’t that great.

Basically what trumpnet said. I’m trying to use my tv as a dual monitor set-up for my laptop. I don’t know how clear the picture will be but its only going to be used to have my tool bars and things on it.

I connect my laptop to the TV thru the yellow composite video cable or s-video. S-video is alittle more crisp, but the yellow composite cable works well enough for powerpoint briefings.

Just change the settings under the display properties so that it will display on the TV or laptop lcd or both.

i don’t have video out. i need a VGA adaptor.

please pm xlogic !

Sorry…I misunderstood. You need the adapter from VGA. DOH!
