so whats new in technology that you think is worthwhile? i’m looking into some things to write into the budget and want to hear what you guys have going on.

any advancements with phones, GPS phones, Video Phones, applications over the phones.
you have voip right?
we currently use biometrics chad.
also have 50+ blackberrys, a polycom video conferencing unit on each site, and we do have VOIP… these guys don’t really need cell phone based applications… most they ever do is check mail.
humm… i was thinking new switches from cisco wtih the worm detection on the switch level, but they aren’t released… going to implement new firewalls with better VPN’s already…
Ethernet Anywhere!
We just got some Enterasys edge devices that are pretty neat. Havent had time to go down and play with them but for security they are supposed to be pretty good. We also got about 20 new Cisco switches and a new core and I get to play with none of it, yey
woul dbe a good idea… however i’d like the idea of intrusion detection switches… so i’m trying to look into that… cisco never gives a solid release date… weak shit.

never thought i’d have a tough time spending money… i ahve a ton of NAS storage and a SAN… so those are played out… hummmmmm
