CONVERTED my Focus SVT into an RS!

I’d pay a local glass company to knock out 10+ sets in gelcoat, and then recoup your expenses with the profit from their production. Or even find one stupid bastard to front you the money based on future production (at a possible discount?) and don’t spend anymore out of pocket = Profit. Hands clean, pockets full.

I’d rather the Escort Cosworth as well…it’s literally that ONE car I will always swear I wish to own…maybe someday I will haha. In year 2019 the 1994 (T3 turbo) model will be able to be imported without crash/epa modifications

I plan to do exactly that, just myself rather than hiring out… I already still have over 3/4 of a gallon of gelcoat from the 5sets of sideskirts I reproduced and sold… my gameplan is make 10 kits as time permits and sell them off one by one, then turn around and contact Extreme Dimensions to see if they wanna buy the molds off me for like $3k and laugh all the way to the bank

I’d keep the molds, pre-sell (deposits), and sublet the work. Corner the market, you’re likely to make more than $3k before someone else uses your shit for plugs (which your charged them for) and makes their own molds.

Have any pics of what you’d like it to look like.
I’m just not that well versed in the Ford lineup.

this is awesome, i do want to see more of this

Ugh, I want a escort cosworth…

Good luck on the RS build, can’t wait to see it finished!

Cool project! After this will you convert it to RWD?

Those are pretty bad ass…

either AWD with a v6 or just get a good clutch setup and LSD with boost.

don’t get your hopes up just yet…haven’t set any fiberglass in the molds…but these are my concept images I whipped up in photoshop…couple different wheel options…

Stock RS wheels, painted gunmetal (probably won’t be able to get a set, and they are 18x8…I want wider)

17x9 SC replica Mustang wheels in 4x108

Other wheel I’m considering but haven’t PS’d is 03 cobra reps in gloss black…same basic 5-spoke pattern as the SC’s, just they are slightly concave right to the enge where the SC’s have a lip…so It’s basically a decision on whether or not I want wheels with a lip/dish…and the comparison against the RS stock wheels is sufficient to make that decision. Open to opinions on this as well…

Cobra reps are pretty cheap and come in good sizes! I think stock they are 17x9 all around but I know the reps offer a couple different options.

yeah, I’d go 18x9 but 18’s are only available in 5x114.3 so I’d have to convert to 5lug…which I might do for more wheel options but it’ll cost about $500-600 to convert using brand new parts from an autoparts store for a mazdaspeed3 and getting a little creative to make them fit…

took most of the front clip off…I’m saving a step here becuase I previously already modified the steel bumper to fit the lower profile euro bumper

I’ll get the sideskirts and fenders off sometime later this week.

Let’s do the headlights this week!

Im off wednesday and thursday. Hit me up

I’m down to kick it and give a hand. Also down for some grillin!

Thursday works for me…If I had some cash for resin I could get to makin up the fenders but I think if I had cash I’d rather buy the reducer, clear, and activator I need to paint the tank for the cafe so that’ll be done lol.

Got the sideskirts and fenders off today, and confirmed my suspicions(sp?) that this car was in at least one wreck unreported to carfax…
