CONVERTED my Focus SVT into an RS!

Just wanted to drop in with this update:

It’s been like early christmas a few times a week lately with all the parts I’ve been getting delivered…

got my hands on Ford OEM RS front fenders for re-molding purposes, will be selling these in the spring to re-coup my cost on them…

Also, two of my TeamDynamics wheels came today, hoping to get some time for a test fit soon before we really get serious snow

Nice wheels, I thought that was a Ford logo on the center cap for a minute.

I won’t say dollar amount, but I owe less on the car then I spent on the wheels and fenders…by about half.

LOL, I’m definitely not keeping the fenders long-term so I’ll get my investment back on those…

and as for the wheels, I ordered them in “safe” specs to basically see how they fit…if I don’t like the fit I’ll have to decide if I’d rather sell them immediately and order different wheels with different specs, or just run spacers to get the fitment I want.

I feel pretty shitty now that I just thought about the possibility of not even keeping the fenders AND wheels after what I spent. EEEESH

Those look siqqqqq, I have a pair of 5mm spacers in my garage you can use to see if they’ll give you the fitment you want.

Definitely digging this build, and I love the focus RS but isnt the real RS powered by a turbo Volvo 5 cylinder?

the mk2 RS is, but the mk1 is just a turbo-charged version of the same motor in the regular focus, just with forged internals stock and a bigger waterpump. I’m planning to pull this motor out and put in a v6 at some point, unless I get bored and sell it before then.

Damn, wouldnt the V6 create some drivability issues? Or is this something offered to the euro’s that of course we didnt get in the states…like all the other good stuff

too many details to discuss, but no it wasn’t an option ever offered directly in a focus…but was in a few closely related platforms
